How do I activate my keyless Ubisoft Uplay purchase?

    Important Notes

    THERE IS CURRENTLY A ONE HOUR DELAY BETWEEN ACTIVATING AND THE GAME APPEARING IN YOUR UBI CONNECT ACCOUNT!

    • You CANNOT gift Uplay keylessly activated content from one Uplay account to another - the content will be added to the Uplay account you log into during the activation process and will remain in that account.
      If the Uplay account you log into already owns the content the new content will be lost.
    • Please note that Uplay DLC will not add content to the base game if that base game is activated through another platform such as Steam.
    • To use your new Ubisoft game you need to the Uplay game client installed on your PC.
    • LOGIN ERROR
      If your attempt to login is unsuccessful ("Login Error" or "Invalid Email or Password") and you're confident the details are correct, check that your web browser isn't configured to reject third party cookies (which iPhone/iPad Safari will do by default) then try again or in another web browser.
    • Your game may not appear if you have not completed UBI Additional security,  Go to 
      Account Management - Security - (the account needs verification) - Step Verification - Activate - Choose Email and enter the code received.

    Step 1 - Add the game to your UPlay account

    1. To add the game to your Uplay account click on the 'Log in to Ubisoft' button.

    2. If you're already logged into a Uplay account, you can click to continue and add the game into the already logged into Uplay account or click "Not you?" to add the game to another Uplay account.
      NOTE:
      • You CANNOT gift Uplay keylessly activated content from one Uplay account to another - the content will be added to the Uplay account you log into during the activation process and will remain in that account.
      • If the Uplay account you log into already owns the content the new content will be lost.
    3. You will be presented with the Ubisoft login window where you can enter your Ubisoft account username and password.
      If you don't already have a Ubisoft account then you can click on 'Create a Ubisoft account' and follow the steps that Ubisoft present.

      Notes:
      • If your attempt to login is unsuccessful ("Login Error" or "Invalid Email or Password") and you're confident the details are correct, check that your web browser isn't configured to reject third party cookies (which iPhone/iPad Safari will do by default) then try again or in another web browser.
      • Also check for web browser extensions or add-ons (including adBlockers, such as Ghostery) which may be blocking the opening of the Uplay login dialog from your fanatical.com oder page.

    4. Once you've logged in you will see the word 'Activating', this means the game is being added to your Ubisoft account.

      Notes:
      • If the screen doesn't progress from "Activating...", either try in another web browser or try in the current browser after clearing cookies then contact with us if the issue persists.

    Step 2 - Install the Uplay client onto your PC and log in to it

    1. If you don't already have a copy of the Uplay client installed, download and install it from https://uplay.ubi.com, click on 'Download Now' to download the uplayinstaller.exe then run/open it to install the Uplay client.
    2. Once Uplay is installed, run the Uplay client and you will see the login screen:

    3. Log into UPlay
    4. You will see your game is listed in the 'Games' section of the Uplay client. 
      Notes:
      • If the game doesn't appear in your Uplay client's "My Games" section:
        • Check again after restarting Windows and the Uplay client.
        • Check the "UNINSTALLED" or "HIDDEN" section of your Uplay client's game library
        • Contact Ubisoft Uplay Support directly via https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/ and send them a copy of your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\logs\launcher_log.txt" file (note that the file's location may vary, depending on where you've installed the Uplay Client Game Launcher) so that they can check your account activations.
