Dishonored Definitive Edition activates as the GOTY edition?!

When you activate the definitive edition of Dishonored, you will see Steam shows the activation as "Dishonored GOTY".

On PC (Steam/Epic) Bethesda rebranded the "Game of the Year Edition" to "Definitive Edition", with both products containing the same content.

Within your purchase, you will see all of the DLCs are built into your licence ,so you will receive the correct content for the Definitive edition

    • The Main Game: The full story of Corvo Attano
    • The Knife of Dunwall (DLC): A story expansion where you play as Daud
    • The Brigmore Witches (DLC): The conclusion to Daud’s story
    • Dunwall City Trials (DLC): A series of challenge maps and leaderboards
    • Void Walker’s Arsenal: A bundle of four smaller packs that were originally pre-order bonuses (includes unique bone charms and extra money).

Bethesda uses the terms interchangeably.  Internally, the "Definitive Edition" is the GOTY edition. When you activate the key, the system recognizes the license for the "full package," which was originally titled GOTY.

If you would like to put your mind at ease,  check if you have the full "Definitive" package DLCs:

    1. Right-click Dishonored in your Steam Library.

    2. Select Properties > DLC.

    3. You should see The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches, Dunwall City Trials, and Void Walker’s Arsenal all listed as "Installed."
