Before you activate your game key and enjoy hours of fun, you'll need to create a Steam account and be logged in.
You can either create a Steam account directly on the Steam website or from within the Steam client - either way, it's simple to get set up.
Create an account within the Steam Website
- Click https://store.steampowered.
com/join/ if you want to create an account directly within the Steam website: - Enter your email address, complete the "I'm not a robot" verification and the tick the box to confirm that you agree to the terms of the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Valve Privacy Policy.
- Once you have completed the form, click on 'Continue'.
- Next, you'll need to check your email and click on the link to complete the account creation.
- Once you have confirmed your email you will then have to create your Steam accounts name and set your password.
- After creating your Steam account you can login into the Steam client if it's already installed- If you haven't already installed it, read our guide 'How do I install Steam'

Create an account using the Steam Client
Once you have installed the Steam client you can create an account and log in. For advice on download and installing the client the please read 'How do I install Steam'.
- Run the Steam client from your Windows Start Menu then click the "Create a Free Account" option to start the account creation process:
- Enter your email address, complete the "I'm not a robot" verification and the tick the box to confirm that you agree to the terms of the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Valve Privacy Policy.
- You will need to check your email and click on the link to complete the account creation.
- Next you will then have to create your Steam accounts name and set your password.
- On confirmation that your account has been created, you will be able to login to your new Steam account.
